If I had to put my trust fund money on one celeb who nearly always looks flawless on the red carpet, it would have to be Kristen Bell.
But.
Had that bet been real, her latest look would’ve sent me to the poorhouse:

I am just not feeling this Sachin + Babi ensemble. At first glance I thought this was a dress that K.Bell donned at the Hollywood premiere of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, aka Nerdfest 2013, but rather it’s a top and skirt combo, which seem to be part of the problem.
I don’t think that the designer necessarily meant these pieces to be worn together. Had KB paired the top with, say, a white pencil skirt or pants, this outfit could’ve been saved. But as it is, she looks blocky and short.
Even Kristen herself seems to be oozing a sense of “I’m not sure where I was going with this look,” doesn’t she? Oh well darlings, every It Girl, especially those who have a newborn It-Girl-in-training at home–is allowed to make a mistake now and then, don’t you think?
Or do you actually kind of like her awkward ensemble?
