From the Upper East Side to Nashville, Gossip Girl‘s Kristen Bell will be hosting this year’s Country Music Television Awards on June 5. I know what you’re thinking — because I’m thinking it too — “Why is Kristen Bell hosting the CMT Awards? She’s not necessarily country nor is she in music.” Well, the new mom is a country music lover and she’s hosted before. Last year, she rocked the evening with Toby Keith.
K.Bell took to Twitter to announce the news, saying, “Yay! Heading back to Nashville to host the #CMTawards, June 5 on @CMT! This year I have an awesome, new co-host! Who do u think it’ll b?”
My knowledge of country music singers is limited since twangy music doesn’t really go with my outfits. BUT. I can name Taylor Swift (duh) and Blake Shelton (because he’s that guy on The Voice). Not really sure about anyone else….
